Hey my name is Jessica Hansen and I am going to be an elementary school teacher. I need to have an emphasis area and I am leaning toward Biology because I have always been in to science. I had a 6th grade science teacher who taught me some of the first things I remember when I started to become interested. One thing that caught my attention most is how science can explain so many things through experiments and tests and we can learn the tiny details of life from electrons and protons to cells and things on a larger scale. Religion is also a part of my life and I have always wondered why science and religion argue about issues all the time. This is why I have chosen to discuss why science and religion should both be incorporated into people's lives. Science can run tests to prove why things are the way they are, but religion can also add meaning and explain things in a different way. Someone once said, "There can never be a conflict between true science and true relgion, because they both describe reality." On the other hand, someone else has said, "Science is almost totally incompatible with religion." Throughout this blog I am going to argue that they can exist in harmony and people should try to incorporate both in their lives because they can learn many things from these two aspects of life.
